This is a very special Taylor Custom Shop T5z that arrived for our most recent Taylor in-store event. It s a show-stopper finished in Watermelon Shift . The guitar at first glance from a forward-facing angle has a very cool grayscale burst finish over a flame maple top, but once you start to angle the guitar in the light – shades of green sparkle come into view, hence the Watermelon Shift name. It looks very unique, and there s subtlety in the finish that can barely be shown in pictures! Don t sleep on this guitar, you might never see a T5z as good looking as this one again.

The T5z Pro has been re-envisioned with a new aesthetic package as well as choice of tonewoods. The T5z Pro has a figured big leaf maple top paired with urban ash for the body, instead of the previous models sapele. The ash pairs very well with the maple top to add clarity and a sweeter high-end than before. Comfort is added in with an integrated armrest into the top edge and a more round, contoured body edge. Visually the top is outlined in maple binding along with new all-black control knobs and faux pearl Spires fretboard inlays.

The T5z Pro has all of the same electronics that the T5z is famous for; being a perfect acoustic-electric hybrid guitar. The T5z s sonic magic comes from a concealed neck humbucker, a visible humbucker in the middle position and a built-in acoustic body sensor controlled with five-way switching and active tone circuitry placed for easy access while playing, allowing you to shift between lush acoustic sounds and searing electric leads on the fly. Pick up at T5z Pro at The Music Zoo and dazzle crowds by changing tones, but never your guitar.
