The Yamaha BB Broad Bass has a rich history, extending all the way back to the late 70s. These instantly recognizable basses are a great alternative to the norm – and this BBP34 is an expertly crafted Japanese model from the BB Pro Series. The body is made from 3 pieces – a solid alder top and back sandwiching a maple center, which improves resonance and accentuates midrange. The 5 piece maple walnut neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard and features a 6 bolt Miter neck joint. It s loaded with alnico 5 magnet YGD Custom V7 pickups, and a very cool convertible bridge, with a special diagonal loading angle if you string through the body – or you can top load it! It also features Yamaha s exclusive Initial Response Acceleration (IRA) technology which applies specific vibrations to completed instruments as that gives a broken-in feel from day one!
